What are the top 3 questions people usually ask about joining a long haul rally?

1. Do I need to pay for my own hotel and meals? Yes.  In order to accommodate various needs and budgets, you will be on your own to find a hotel.  We will have rooms blocked at Holiday Inns and similar price points but you will be responsible for booking, see details.

2. How many hours or miles a day of driving is expected? 6-8hours a day.  It goes by faster than you think.

3. Will there be any checkpoints? Yes.  Several side quests along the route and pictures will be needed to verify the visit for points toward the rally.

What are the most important rules or guidelines participants need to know to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time?

Be safe, kind, and courteous to the other drivers and to the cities we visit. Spirited driving is ok, but not dangerous driving. No passing on the shoulders, no fast lane changes. It's not a race; it's a Long Haul Rally.

What kinds of cars are welcomed at the rallies, and what should drivers do to get their car ready before they join?

Most rallies welcome all vehicle enthusiasts. There are a few rallies that will have specific vehicle requirements. Ensure your car is well-maintained and ready for a long drive.

What makes your rallies special or different from other car events? What unique adventures or 'side quests' can people expect?

The Long Haul Rally is about ALL vehicle enthusiasts. We've built rallies that have a lower cost to entry than other rallies of the same length. Stay at a Holiday Inn, camp, or stay at a 5-star hotel - it's up to you. We pride ourselves on trying to reach as many enthusiasts as possible while keeping the cost down.

How do we communicate with other drivers?

It is recommended you use an GRMS radio or FRS radio to communicate between vehicles.  If in a small group, please select a different channel.  If you want a broad scope, use channel 21.

What is the best corvette rally?

The C8 coast to coast long haul rally is the best rally for the newest generation of the corvette.  100 C8s Outer Banks to Monterey in 8 days, 7 nights.  Better than a boat cruise any day.

When is the next Corvette C8 rally?

20-27 May 2027 is the coast to coast corvette rally.

How do I get ready for a car rally?

To prepare for a premier event like the Long Haul Rally, you must first ensure your C8 Corvette is mechanically sound by performing a full "tech inspection" of tires, brakes, and fluids to handle the journey. Next, organize your essential road kit, including a high-quality GRMS radio for group communication, soft-sided luggage to maximize the C8's unique storage space, and updated GPS coordinates for key stops like Cadillac Ranch and the Tail of the Dragon. Finally, familiarize yourself with the safety protocols and daily route briefings to ensure a seamless "safe-speed" experience that balances high-performance driving with group camaraderie.
